Excellent wellness hotel. Awesome vibe.
Inspired by traditional Polynesian architecture and style, Le Taha'a Island Resort & Spa is the only Relais et Chateaux property in French Polynesia. Situated on the secluded islet of Motu Tautau, the property features perfect views of Bora Bora on one side, and the island of Taha'a (famous for vanilla plantations and black pearl farms) on the other side. Designed to keep the resort natural and green, the property was built around existing vegetation with old trees, tropical foliage, and colorful flowers.
Providing a sophisticated setting with an authentic Polynesian feel, the property has 45 overwater bungalows, ten one-bedroom beach villas, and two Royal Beach Villas with two bedrooms.
Nestled within an exotic garden, Le Spa by Le Taha'a is surrounded by bamboo trees, and overlooks a peaceful interior lagoon. The sacred traditional Polynesian oil infused with coconuts and flowers, known as Monoi, is incorporated into most treatments, and guests can select from a variety of services, including massages, body exfoliation, wraps, and balneotherapies.
Providing guests with a true culinary experience, the resort has three on-site restaurants, including the elegant Ohiri Restaurant, serving gourmet French-Polynesian fusion cuisine. The main restaurant, La Vanile, is set amongst the trees overlooking the lagoon, with international and local specialties. While La Plage offers an al fresco, beachfront setting for lunch.
The exclusive resort provides a variety of amenities and activities, including helicopter services, scuba diving and snorkeling in the Tahitian waters, private romantic dinners for couples, and excursions like hiking, jeep safari tours, and waverunner adventures.
