The Ivy Hotel

Set in a 19th century mansion in Baltimore’s Mount Vernon neighborhood, The Ivy Hotel is a luxury, Relais & Chateaux boutique hotel with a private residential atmosphere. Honoring time-held traditions, guests are greeted by a valet to take bags, park the car, and offer a glass of champagne. The mansion offers charming public spaces for guests to linger, including a sun-filled, ivy-walled courtyard, music room, and library. Afternoon tea is served by the fireplace, and chef-prepared breakfasts are offered daily.

The property's 18 guest rooms and suites have sitting areas, fireplaces, and private bathrooms. There are plush king beds (queen bed in Room Eight) with Frette linens, balconies, stocked minifridges, tea kettles, and charging stations. Daily turn down service is provided, and bathrooms have exclusive Nature Bisse amenities, heated French limestone floors, deep soaking tubs, robes, and slippers. The room rates include made-to-order breakfast, afternoon tea service, valet parking, and snacks.

Magdalena, a fine-dining bistro, serves a cross-cultural menu built upon the finest local ingredients, which the chef changes seasonally. There are five different dining areas at Magdalena: the Garden Room, looking out onto The Ivy's walled Courtyard, the intimate Treasury with welcoming tables standing under pools of lamplight in the space where sterling and crystal were once kept under lock and key, the brick-floored Wine Cellar, Tasting Room, and the stately Bar.

The Spa at The Ivy is a small and perfect sanctuary on the hotel's second floor. Dedicated to Ivy guests, the spa's guiding principles are natural health and vitality. The spa’s exclusive product line, Natura Bissé— a leader in research, development, and innovation, is infused into the facility's range of massage and treatments. Pinpointing guests needs and preferences, all services are customized to meet the individual needs of guests, and in-room massages are also available.
