Location Summary
Sir Albert chose to have his home at De Pijp district because its central, vibrant and prestigious. At De Pijp’s heart is the most renowned market in The Netherlands, the Albert Cuypmarkt, a daily feast of fresh produce and local culture. De Pijp is a melting pot of different nationalities, known as the Quartier Latin of Amsterdam. Alive with shops, restaurants and trendy bars.

The famous Museumplein and Royal Concertgebouw are a saunter away from Sir Albert’s doorstep. Or wander over to the designer heaven that is the P.C. Hooftstraat, or the high fashion oasis of the Van Baerlestraat.

And that’s just the start. Round the corner from Sir Albert’s sanctuary you’ll find the Leidseplein and Rembrandt Square, crammed with cafes, cinemas, a casino, theatres, live music venues, nightclubs and theatres like the Stadsschouwburg, De La Mar Theatre and the most famous one of Amsterdam, the Carre.

Public transportation from Amsterdam central railway station: Take tram 16 (direction VU Medisch Centrum) or tram 24 (direction VU Medisch Centrum) and exit at Ruysdaelstraat. Go to the right, cross the bridge over the canal and on your right hand side Sir Albert is waiting for you.

Public transportation from Amsterdam Zuid railway station: Take tram 5 (direction of Central Station) and exit at Roelof Hartplein. Continue onto Cornelis Anthoniszstraat and turn left onto the Hobbemakade. Turn right onto Ruysdaelstraat and continue onto Albert Cuypstraat, Sir Albert will be on your right hand.

Public transportation from Schiphol airport: Take the train to Amsterdam Zuid, then take tram 5 (direction of Central Station) and exit at Roelof Hartplein. Continue onto Cornelis Anthoniszstraat and turn left onto the Hobbemakade. Turn right onto Ruysdaelstraat and continue onto Albert Cuypstraat, Sir Albert will be on your right hand.

In Amsterdam turn left onto Hobbemakade (s108), turn right onto Eerste Jan Steenstraat. Then turn left onto Ruysdaelkade. You arrived at Sir Albert.

By car from Utrecht (A2): Follow directions Den Haag Zaanstad. Entering city Amsterdam, continue ahead onto Nieuwe Utrechtseweg (s110). Turn right onto Europaplein (s109) and turn right onto Scheldestraat. After that turn left onto Ceintuurbaan. Turn right onto Hobbemakade (s108) after that turn right onto Eerste Jan Steenstraat. Then turn left onto Ruysdaelkade. You arrived at Sir Albert.

By car from Diemen/Amersfoort (A10): Follow directions Amstel (s110). At the junction s109 RAI turn right from Ringweg Zuid (A10), continue ahead onto Europaboulevard (s109). Entering city Amsterdam keep right on Europaboulevard (s109), turn right onto Scheldestraat. After that go left onto Ceintuurbaan and right onto the Hobbemakade (s108), turn right onto Eerste Jan Steenstraat. After a few meters turn left onto Ruysdaelkade, you arrived at Sir Albert.
