Conservatorium Hotel Amsterdam
Since opening in 2011, the Conservatorium has become fully part of the rich cultural heritage and bustling daily life of what is one of the world’s most important intact historical city centers. Set within the former Sweelinck Conservatory of Music, a 19th century Neo-gothic building, the luxury hotel is located on Amsterdam’s famous museum square.

The elegant luxury of the Conservatorium’s new design has been achieved while respecting the old spirit of this famous building. It was conceived in partnership with Piero Lissoni, leading architect and interior designer from Italy.

Offering exceptional hospitality, which combines world-class quality with authentic Amsterdam life, the Conservatorium is a boutique hotel offering exclusive dining and bar venues, Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre, as well as superb events and banqueting spaces.

The hotel features 129 rooms and suites with luxury linens, Nespresso coffee makers, brushed-oak flooring, bathrooms with in-mirror TVs, and an autumnal-inspired color scheme. Guests are assigned personal hosts that combine the skills of concierges and guest relations to arrange bookings, provide guidance, and prepare bespoke experiences.

Terms and Conditions
Reservations must be made through Five Star Alliance under the “5 Star Signature Package." A full breakfast is provided for two daily. A $100 food and beverage or spa treatment credit is included, once per room, per stay. Also included is a welcome amenity. One way airport transfer is provided when booking the Concerto 2-Bedroom Suite or I Love Amsterdam Suite; round trip airport transfer is included when booking The Penthouse. Upgrade, early check-in and late check-out (4:00 PM) are subject to availability at time of check-in and departure.

Location Summary
The Conservatorium is located in the heart of the city’s major museum square (Museumplein) and the Royal Concertgebouw (Royal Concerthall). It is close to the designer-fashion district of P.C. Hooftstraat and Van Baerlestraat, with easy access to all of the capital’s cultural destinations including the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk Museum, and the Van Gogh Museum.

The Conservatorium is part of a wider renewal of this world-famous cultural hub in Amsterdam’s Oud Zuid (Old South), The opening of the hotel in 2011 coincided with the long-awaited re-opening of the refurbished Stedelijk Museum, while the renovation of the Rijksmuseum’s is nearing completion.

The hotel is perfectly placed for the city’s shops, restaurants and cafés, or a wander in the nearby Vondelpark. It is also just a short stroll from the charming lanes of the Jordaan neighbourhood. The famous 17th-century gabled houses dotting the grand canals of the Dutch Golden Age as well as the bustling business and design quarters nearby are within easy reach on foot or by bike.

Directions to Hotel
The Conservatorium car service includes a welcome in the arrival hall of Schiphol Airport.

Bus number 197 leaves the Airport next to the taxi stand and stops at the Museumplein, a three-minute walk to the hotel.

Take the train to Amsterdam Zuid Station and then the tram number 5 direction Central Station, which stops in front of the hotel (Van Baerlestraat stop). This transfer time is approximately 35 to 40 minutes. Alternatively take the train to Amsterdam Central Station and then tram number 2 or 5, which stop in front of the hotel entrance on the Paulus Potter Street 50 (Van Gogh Museum stop). This transfer will take approximately 45 to 50 minutes.
