San Francisco Proper

Featuring thoughtful, art-filled design, San Francisco Proper Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel in the Mid-Market neighborhood. Recently reimagined by L.A.-based interior designer Kelly Wearstler, the hotel is located within a flatiron building, circa 1909. Guests are welcomed into a lobby with Cubist-style paintings, velvet seating in shades of citrus, and mismatched wallpaper patterns.

The property's 131 guest rooms and suites are designed to fit the needs of modern city travelers. Furnished in a bold, yet sophisticated juxtaposition of brass, bronze, and gray, accommodations have ambient lighting, imported bedding, and connectivity outlets. Along with city views, curated minibars, walk-in showers, Aesop bath amenities, and Vifa bluetooth speakers.

For dining, Villon is a trendy neighborhood destination with a hyper-seasonal menu, art-filled lobby salon, and original libations. La Bande is a modern cafe and market concept with espresso drinks, house-made pastries, and cocktails in the evenings. While Charmaine's is a chic rooftop retreat with an indoor/outdoor design, patio with fire pits, and panoramic vistas over Market Street.
