ION City Hotel

Located in the heart of Reykjavik, the ION City Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel embodying the spirt of adventurous travel with Nordic design. Nestled within a smartly renovated building, the property maintains it's original architecture while being augmented by outside walls inspired by traditional Icelandic weaving.

Inside, luxe organic interiors feature a color palette of gray and white, clean lines, Icelandic art, and warm-hued wooden floors. As guests arrive in the lobby they are greeted by Green Icelandic birch, wool curtains, and specially-designed lighting inspired by a bird nest. The staff is dressed in clothing and jewelry by Icelandic designers, and hallways feature lighting controlled by movement to create a sense of magic.

Guest rooms and suites at the 18-room property have window sofas, plush beds with down duvets, Samsung smart TVs, Nespresso machines, complimentary minibars, and tea making facilities. Bathrooms have organic Icelandic bath products, designer bathrobes, and bathroom walls decorated with Icelandic lava stones.

For dining, Sumac serves an Icelandic menu showcasing seasonal ingredients infused with exotic spices inspired by the flavors of Lebanon and Morocco. The interiors are inspired by the nostalgic atmosphere of Beirut, Lebanon, and the bar serves handcrafted Mediterranean cocktails enhanced with Icelandic influences.
