Very Good

Very good boutique hotel. Good for sightseeing with nearby parking areas. Awesome vibe. Fantastic service.

Set along 11th Street, The Sentinel Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel in downtown Portland. The boutique property consists of two historic properties, the Seward Hotel (The Sentinel's East Wing) and the former Portland Elks Lodge (The Sentinel's West Wing). Built in 1909, the Seward was a boutique hotel designed by an Oregon architect, and designated a National Historic Landmark in the 1980s. In 1992, it reopened as a boutique hotel after a massive renovation, and was transformed into The Sentinel Hotel in 2012.

Guestrooms and suites at the boutique hotel feature unique character and charm, reflecting the history of the hotel. There are signature amenities like spiritual and pillow menus, plus local artwork, minibars with regional snacks, and plush beds adorned with Pendleton wool throws. Suites on the sixth floor feature access to “The Room at the End of the Hall” and accommodations on the top floor of the West Wing have private terraces with city views.

For dining, Jake's Grill has a classic American steakhouse grill feel with a menu of steaks, and seafood for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While Jacknife has crafted cocktails and casual dining just off the lobby.
