Nira Caledonia

Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Nira Caledonia
Located in the beautiful town of Stockbridge in the heart of Edinburgh, a UNESCO World Heritage site, this elegant Georgian townhouse is the perfect base for exploring a city steeped in history, yet alive with modern, cosmopolitan culture. Step into the history at Nira Caledonia: once home to Scottish advocate, literary critic, and author John Wilson of Ellera (the writer most frequently identified with the pseudonym Christopher North of Blackwood's Edinburgh Magazine), it now opens its doors for you.

Due to the historical importance of the building, you won't find modern conveniences such as a Lift or Air Conditioning that can put in danger the delicate structure. However each room is equipped with modern treats: from a large flat TV screen, to dock stations for charging your phones, or even our very own Nira Caledonia app that gives you the latest local news or lets you communicate with our concierge wherever you are.
