The Hotel Maison de Ville offers guests the chance to enjoy the French Quarter the way it was meant to be experienced. Guests are treated to true Southern hospitality with that special New Orleans flair. Since the days when America was a British colony and New Orleans a French Territory, the buildings that make up the Maison de Ville and Audubon Cottages have been a part of the rich history of the city. Guests of the Maison de Ville will experience all the charm and history of The French Quarter, both at the hotel and in the surrounding areas. Enjoy a stay in the room where Tennessee Williams completed A Streetcar Named Desire or in the Audubon Cottages where John James Audubon painted much of his Birds of America series. Beyond its phenomenal location, luxury accommodations, unique amenities, and two-hundred years of history, the Maison de Ville also is home to one of the finest restaurants in New Orleans, The Bistro. Chef Greg Picolo, born and raised in New Orleans, has created a Parisian-style bistro that serves Nouvelle Creole Cuisine that includes traditional French bistro selections and New Orleans culinary favorites.

Note Bene
As part of a complimentary European-style continental breakfast, fresh croissants from one of New Orleans's best bakeries are delivered to your door, on a silver tray accompanied by a beautiful rose. Or, if you prefer, breakfast can also be served in our traditional New Orleans courtyard. Also, guests are welcome in the Salon each evening for a glass of port or sherry.
Recommended Rooms
Carriage House Suite: This suite is a two-story carriage house at the foot of the courtyard with a sitting room downstairs and a bedroom and bath upstairs. The first floor parlor has hardwood floors, a loveseat and coffee table in front of the fireplace, a desk in front of the window looking out to the courtyard, as well as a wet bar. The cozy Queen Bedroom also has a fireplace and French doors, which open up to a balcony overlooking the courtyard and the Bistro. The white marble bathroom has a full size tub and shower.
Fine Dining on Site
The Bistro at the Maison de Ville, located at 733 Toulouse Street, boasts an atmosphere and decor inspired by Parisian bistros with red leather banquettes, beveled-glass mirrors, natural wood flooring, and Impressionist-style paintings. Al-fresco dining is also available in the courtyard, weather permitting. This nationally recognized restaurant has become a favorite of both hotel guests and locals. It was recently named top "Haute Restaurant" by the Zagat Guide, along with a host of other awards and accolades. Chef Greg Picolo, a New Orleans native, has created a menu that pleases both diners and critics alike. Cooking in the Louisiana Creole style, different than the spicy Cajun style most people associate with Louisiana, Chef Picolo delivers sophisticated dishes that satisfy both body and soul.
