While we’re not sure of what next week will hold let alone next year, these hotel chains are looking much farther into the future and planning their next big hotel openings for 2013, 2014, 2015, and beyond! Assuming the world doesn’t end come December, we’ll certainly keep up with the developments and look forward to even more luxury hotel options in cities around the world.
After the success of its property in Dresden, Swisshotels is planning to open two new hotels in Bodrum, Turkey, one on the beach and the other in the city. The beach resort will offer 66 guest rooms along with villas and residences, and the 56-room city resort will be in the hills and feature stunning views of the city. Both hotels are expected to open in 2013 and 2014.
Ritz Carlton is opening a 129-suite resort in Tunis, Tunisia in 2014, so if you never had a reason to visit Africa, you do now. We’re imagining taking a stroll along the resort beach and exploring the ancient ruins in Carthage.
If your plans have you traveling a bit sooner, be sure to explore the luxury hotels we have located all over the world, and check in with us often to read about the progress of these up and coming hotels!

Conde Nast Traveler, purveyor of fine hotel reviews and travel advice, has just released its 2012 edition of the Hot List, a list of hotels that are setting the hotel world aflame with fresh designs and new concepts, or maybe just a solid new look at classic luxury. 41 reporters embedded themselves anonymously in hotels across the globe to review their targets. What results is a list of 121 hotels around the world that are so on fire they should be put on your watch list, just in case they end up burning down.
Aman Resorts are world-renowned for their ability to capture a special kind of serenity and bring it to all different parts of the world. Amanruya, on the Bodrum peninsula, is no exception, and its 36 seaside cottages are precisely the kind of escape that guests coming to Turkey hope for. Not only do the waters of the Mediterranean stretch out in front of the hotel, the resort is just a short drive from nearby Göltürkbükü, a hopping town for adventurous types to explore an active nightlife. While you're there, be sure to visit the excavation of Ephesus, where you can find one of the seven wonders of the world, the Temple of Artemis. The flat-roofed cottages of Amanruya are the perfect place to stay for a weekend in one of the world's most historic regions.

Fans of Amanresorts will fall in love with the luxury hotel company's latest property: a Mediterranean village-inspired resort nestled among olive groves overlooking Turkey's gorgeous Aegean coast. Come August 2011, luxury lovers (and Aman junkies) will be blissing out at Amanruya, comprised of 36 pool terrace cottages just 30 minutes from Bodrum. Each of the elegant accommodations comes with a private pool (averaging 115 square feet), outdoor shower, fireplace, and four-poster bed. The resort's name is a combination of the Sanskrit word for peace ("aman") and the Turkish word for dream. Understandable, given the dreamy setting and luxurious Aman-style facilities: a three-story library, a terrace and wine lounge, an art gallery, two spa suites, a marble swimming pool, tennis court and beach club.
