From ALBANY - Take the New York State Thruway to Albany - Exit 24. At exit 24 is the beginning of the Adirondack Northway (Route 87). Take 87 NORTH to Exit 30 (Keene, Keene Valley, Lake Placid) as you exit the Northway at Exit 30 turn left onto Route 9. Follow Rt. 9 into Rt. 73. Remain on Route 73 until Lake Placid. At the stoplight take a left and continue straight through the next light. You will be on Main St. Remain on Main St. until you see the Hilton on your left, at the fork in the road remain straight and the Mirror Lake Inn will be about 500 ft. up on your left. AMTRAK TRAIN SERVICE - operates between New York City and Montreal - local stop in Westport, N.Y. (40 miles from Lake Placid). For information call 1-800-USA-RAIL.
