Many luxury hotels have Michelin-starred restaurants, and impressive wine collections. Monte Carlo’s Five-Star Hotel
de Paris takes wine to a whole new level. The wine cellars at Hotel de Paris are hollowed out of the rock that Monte
Carlo is known for. In this cool cellar lies hundreds of thousands of bottles from all over the world. Do the names Lafite,
Rothschild, Dom Perignon and Cristal sound familiar? They all have a home there, among the 1500 square meters of wine racks.
The wines are arranged according to year, and are laid on the rack or kept in their cases. The bottles are carefully
labeled to indicate which wines are currently on offer. The bottles are watched over by the head cellarman and his
team of 10 and only leave the cellar when they arrive on a table of some lucky diner.
This attention to detail allows sommeliers and chefs to pair the dishes with the perfect wine. Bon Appetit!

Question: We are traveling to Monte Carlo, Monaco August 1st – 5th and would like to stay at Le Meridien Beach Plaza. Can you please tell us which room type would be able to accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids ages 4 and 11?
Answer: All of the room types at Le Meridien Beach Plaza have a maximum occupancy of 3 due to safety and fire regulations. This luxury hotel, however, does have 200 interconnecting room options perfect for a family. Classic rooms with either 2 double or 1 king bed can interconnect with other Classic rooms, and Deluxe rooms with 2 double or 1 king bed can interconnect with other Deluxe rooms. To view full nightly breakdowns and to make your reservations, simply click on the hotel name link, enter your dates of travel, and select a specific room type. To make two reservations, simply make one after the other. Please be sure to fill in the special request field stating that you'll be traveling with two kids ages 4 and 11 and that you’d like both of your room reservations to be interconnecting so that the hotel can properly prepare for your arrival. Please be advised that interconnecting rooms are based on availability and cannot be guaranteed, but the hotel certainly does its best to honor these requests especially for families traveling with kids. Please be advised that the rates and availability are subject to change prior to making a reservation.

The extremely talented designer Karl Lagerfeld is coming to Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo to lead the efforts of an extensive external redesign, and it's going to look great. The centerpiece of the design: a fresco-style installation that depicts the stages of Ulysses's journey in 15 etched glass panels. The Hotel Metropole's journey will be significantly shorter than the Odyssey, however. They hope to unveil it this very summer.
Alongside the fresco, Lagerfeld will be designing and opening a third Joel Robuchon restaurant on the premises as well as revamping the pool, terrace, and gardens. The restaurant joins its one- and two-Michelin-star cousins, so you can expect great things from this one as well. We're excited to see the fresh look of the hotel that won "Best Hotel in the World" at the Leading Hotels of the World convention in 2010. To see what the hotel has on offer and be prepared for the unveiling of the gorgeous outdoor areas, check out more on the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo here.
