Sweet Tax Relief at Kimpton Hotels

April 2, 2009| By:Mary Winston Nicklin

Hotel Marlowe, CambridgeGotta love Kimpton Hotels for their humor and wit. Breakfast for a buck-- too gimmicky? Who cares when guests can feast on recession savings like that. "January Jumpstart" was pretty nifty, too, doling out all sorts of good-for-you amenities to folks looking to stick to their New Year's Resolutions. Now the chain-- famous for its one-of-a-kind properties each with personalities and perks all their own-- has announced a "Sweet Tax Relief" Package in honor of Tax Day on April 15th. Available throughout the month of April, Kimpton is dishing out sweet treats and paying your room tax. Check into participating hotels like 70 Park Avenue in New York, Denver's Hotel Monaco, Hotel Solamar in San Diego, Hotel Marlowe and Nine Zero in Boston, Portland's Hotel Monaco, and Hotel Palomar in San Francisco and you'll get a late check-out with your deluxe accommodations, plus a sweet grab-bag filled with candy such as PAYDAY, 100 Grand and Sugar Daddy. The hotel will pay your room tax, along with the meal tax if you dine at the hotel restaurant. The best part? Room rates start at $99.
