Excellent

Excellent accommodation. Great rooms and fantastic service. Awesome vibe.

Welcome to the Wentworth Mansion. To step through the doors is to step into a world of refinement where the work of artisans encompasses you, and unlocks the secrets of a long time past, a gentler time, when refinement and grace were as sure as the change of the seasons, when the ladies and gentlemen of success did not need to ask, in order to receive.

The Wentworth Mansion is, quite simply, one of the world's finest and most unique hotels, as well as a pristine example of America's Gilded Age. Designed not as a lodging house, but as an opulent private residence, it is a place of hand-carved marble fireplaces, intricate woodwork, Tiffany stained glass windows and never-ending detail. Guests stroll through immaculate surroundings, unchanged since the days of the original owner, and sleep soundly in accommodations over a century old. It is, first and foremost, a residence. A residence of unparalleled drama and beauty, where hotel guests can unwind in the atmosphere they desire, surrounded by a gracious and hospitable staff.

In terms of extraordinary service, it is without equal - fine dining is served in our intimate restaurant, Circa 1886, and is accented by swift and professional servers. The Rodgers Library provides the perfect atmosphere for reading, enjoying our complimentary cordials, or drafting a letter to a friend. The Harleston Parlor presents a jovial atmosphere for wine tasting. It should come as no surprise, of course, that a stay at the Wentworth Mansion offers more than just splendid accommodations. For some, however, the highlight of an engagement at the Wentworth Mansion is the breathtaking view of Historic Charleston.
