Opened May 2006 after total reconstruction, Chateau Mcely is one of the most exclusive venues in Central Europe for conferences, corporate events, weddings, training, rural sports, and just very romantic getaways. Dating from 1698, the Chateau at the village of Mcely has a fascinating history. In government hands since 1948, the property had fallen into near ruin. The present owners purchased the site in 2001 and since 2004 it has been under extensive reconstruction and development with loving attention to period detail.
Chateau Mcely is located 55 km northeast of Prague, set in the midst of a state forest adjacent to the Jabkenice Game Park, with magnificent walking & hiking trails.
The Chateau features 24 uniquely end exquisitely decorated bedrooms and suites , with single, twin and king size double beds.
The Alchymist Bar & Plate Hall features a wide range of drinks, Czech and international wines, a fine selection of single malt whiskies, and superbly prepared meals in a romantic setting.
The reconstruction has been designed with conferencing and corporate meetings in mind. Our VIP Training centre can accommodate groups from 7 to 70 with modern teleconferencing, internet and top range audio visual technologies; yet with all rooms overlooking the beautiful parkland, reflecting our 'holistic' body, mind & spirit philosophy to providing the perfect meeting environment.
After your productive meeting, visit our Wellness centre, which is staffed by experts in various massage and therapy techniques.
Finally, our Forestry Centre is run by one of the top experts in the Czech Republic in forest and game management. With our full-service facilities, sporting parties will be assured of a memorable adventure.
Recommended Rooms
Our bedrooms are as unique as the Chateau. We have 24 individual rooms and suites, each with its own style and name; and a meticulous attention to detail and design. It's almost like staying in 24 different hotels - you'll want to return time and again to sample them all! (And yes, for regular customers we will reserve a specific room/suite if feasible). Some rooms sleep 3 adults. Movies. Each room is equipped with a TV and DVD player. We have an interesting collection of DVDs which you are welcome to borrow.

Fine Dining on Site
The Plate Hall is so called because the walls are lined with oversized ceramic plates designed by Oto Blaha. Here you will experience our elegant dining and relaxing atmosphere calculated to maximise your enjoyment of our fresh local and organic fare and superb range of wines.
The cuisine is international and traditional Bohemian; with a house specialty in game dishes. Menus change daily, giving you a wide variety during your stay. We cater also for vegetarians!
The restaurant (including the Salon du The) has a capacity of 50 diners, however for larger or private dining we can utilise other rooms in the Chateau.

Of course we can arrange transport directly from the airport. The whole region is part of "the Golden Belt of Polabi". Polabi itself is the area around the Labe (aka Elbe) river and extends to Hamburg in Germany.
Directions to Hotel
Prague Airport is the main terminus for international travelers coming to Mcely. You can then rent a car or if you let us know your flight details, we can arrange a private chauffeured car to meet you at the airport and take you straight here. We are approximately 2 hours by public transport. From Prague Masarykovo station, you take a train to Nymburk where you can then catch a local bus to Mcely village. Let us know when you are on the bus and we will send a car to collect you from the village.
