Grand Miramare — Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy
Grand Miramare
Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy
In 1903 Mr. Giacomo Costa transformed his private residence into a hotel, entrusting the management to the Kuoni-Stoppani family, founders of one of the oldest European travel agencies: this is how the Miramare soon became one of the first Grand Hotels on the Portofino coast. Now, The Grand Hotel Miramare with its large liberty style building, overlooking the promenade to Portofino, dominates the Tigullio Gulf. Guests can choose from 75 elegant rooms and 9 suites with direct sea or tropical garden view, and some modern amenities. During the Summer season, guests can enjoy multiple activities including the private beach "Bagni Miramare," swimming in the heated outdoor pool, or any one of the water sports offered in the area. If guests want to stay on land, there is tennis nearby and an 18 hole golf course in Rapallo.
