The resort's centerpiece is its spectacular three-story, nine-room "Main House," with its unusual Catalan dome roof, perfect beachfront location, and Chef's Table. Each individual room is unique framing mesmerizing sea views and featuring details such as his and hers separate full bathrooms, large terraces, adjoining suites, oversized showers, plunge pools and large closets with dressing room.

Within the nine rooms of the main house is Rosa's Suite, which is the favorite suite. Spa treatments are a delight on the oversized terrace with an imposing view to the Sea. Master bathroom has a garden view and walk in closets. There is a large living area and a private solarium.

Within the resort are 10 Garden suites featuring a private solarium with a plunge pool, a living area, oversized bathrooms and Catalan showerheads.

Esencia also offers the option of booking two stand alone houses with a gourmet kitchen, private pool, state of the art media room including LCD screens and surround sound; all characteristics that bring together natural luxury with modern comforts. The living room and private dinning area make this is a perfect option for families. Guest also has the option of butler service and a personalized chef.

Attached to each private house are 4 garden rooms, which can also be booked separately or in conjunction with the private house.

All rooms feature, Molton Brown amenities, Egyptian cotton sheets, duvet covers and glorious down pillows. Decor is all in white, simple and elegant, with 'tapete' stone insertions on the floor and deep colorful accents. Furnisher is custom hand crafted.

"Staying at Esencia was a memorable experience which I shall undoubtedly repeat. Situated half an hour south of Playa del Camen, this treasure of calm, well hidden from the main road by a few acres of selva, is set in beautifully kept grounds which abutt a fine sandy beach. Run mainly by women, Esencia can best be described as your home away from home. The two villas with individual pools are amazing,and we visited them to have an idea of other options at hotel. The garden suite called Il Segreto was a favourite of one of my guests, the absolutely amazing views from La Torre left a young couple of friends breathless, and I personally enjoyed every day of the month in my suite called Las Terrazas, which looked out onto the sea. Another stunning arrangement is the possibility to combine Las Rosas and Jaguar which are amazing suites, again in the main building. The entire hotel is low-key, with hospitality and top-notch service a priority. The Aroma Spa, run by yet another amazing woman, Teressa, has an array of options."

Located approximately 46 miles south of Cancun, 30 KM North of Tulum and 5 km south of Puerto Aventuras on the Riviera Maya beaches. Featuring 2 miles of white sand beach and 50 acres of lush green gardens. The hotel will provide transportation to and from the airport for a fee, which can be arranged prior to arrival witht he concierge. Free parking is available. Directions: 46 miles south of the Cancun International Airport. Drive towards Tulum passing Playa del Carmen, upon arriving into the XPU-HA area turn left at XPU-HA 2.
