Directions From San Francisco International Airport via Highway 101, Driving Time: 2.5 Hours, Through Castroville Artichoke Capital Of The World And Gilroy Garlic Capital Of The World. Follow The Signs Out Of The Airport To Highway 101 Going Thru San Jose Palo Alto. Follow Highway 101 To Highway 156 And Continue On This To Highway 1 South. At Highway 1 Turn Left And Head South. You Will Go Through The City Of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Next Turn Left Onto Carmel Valley Road And The Quail Lodge Is Approximately 3 Miles Down On Your Right Hand Side.
