With its Philippe Starck design, acclaimed Asia de Cuba restaurant, the red-hot Skybar, and its fabled Sunset Boulevard address, Mondrian is a sophisticated, modern urban resort that totally reinvents the hotel experience. Each of the 237 generously scaled, light-filled guestrooms have fully equipped working kitchens, large work desks stocked with office supplies, oversized bathrooms, and spare yet elegant furnishings that were inspired by a sense of uncomplicated sophistication. Most of the rooms have enormous floor-to-ceiling windows and beautiful views. The Penthouse and Apartment at Mondrian are spacious and elegantly appointed accommodations with sheer white curtains, pale maple floors, and custom Starck-designed furniture including a long marble dining table and enormous tangerine-colored mirrors. Expansive terraces afford stunning city-wide views. In addition, the Penthouse boasts it's own private state of the art screening room with a 60" widescreen high definition television with satellite feed, DVD, CD, VCR, and Tuner with a seven speaker surround sound system.
Banquets & Meetings
Mondrian features extensive and elegantly appointed Meeting and Banquet facilities, a full-service Business Center, multi-service Meeting Spaces, Executive Boardrooms and state-or-the-art audio-visual and telecommunications equipment. Plasma monitors for audio-visual playback, smart boards, electronic flip charts, portable computers, mobile phones and fax machines are available upon request.
Fine Dining on Site
Asia De Cuba. With its innovative fusion menu, hot Latin beat and renowned Philippe Starck design, Asia de Cuba at Mondrian is one of Los Angeles' hottest restaurants. International restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow brings his critically acclaimed nouveau Asian-Latino cuisine to the West Coast. Diners may choose to be served either indoors with its chic white-on-white interior, or on the sensuous patio which includes a stunning trellis area comprised of enormously overscaled terra cotta pots planted with ficus trees and flowering bougainvillea vines. Every Sunday and Monday night, Asia de Cuba features a four-course wine-paired tasting menu in addition to its regular menu. The Skybar, an open air, ivy-covered pavilion perched above the Pool and Outdoor Living Room, has been one of Los Angeles' hottest nightspots from the day it opened. With its simple tin roof, rustic log beams and "schoolhouse" style wood furniture, it appears to almost float in the clouds, and boasts some of the finest views in all of Los Angeles.
