The recently renovated five-star Montebello Splendid offers Florentine charm set in the city center of this remarkable city. This is a residence of warmth and personalized service, offering the ultimate in comfort steps from Florence's greatest sights. A quiet enclave, the 60-room historical building with its columned Tuscany-style loggia is fronted by its own garden, bronze fountain and small piazza area.

No two of Montebello's guest rooms are alike, but all are classically decorated with parquet floors, marble, soft carpeting, and rich fabrics, creating a haven for guests. Singles, doubles, suites and family rooms make the hotel a perfect choice for any guest to Florence. Soundproof floors and plaster walls, doors and windows, remote-control room darkening features and the exclusive 'Sweet Dreams' sleep system are all designed with relaxation in mind. Luxurious marble bathrooms with pampering amenities continue the sanctuary feel of the hotel.

Montebello's own restaurant, Capriccio, offers an extensive menu including only wholesome products and many Tuscan specialties, as well as lighter fare for those watching their diets. Guests can choose to dine inside or take advantage of the veranda by the hotel’s garden to dine by candlelight in fair weather. The included buffet breakfast is quite extensive, featuring freshly baked products, fresh and cooked fruits, bacon and eggs, cheeses, cold cuts, yogurt, cereals and cakes. A small breakfast can also be served in-suite, available 7 a.m. to midnight. The hotel's state-of-the-art fitness center appeals to the traveler who wishes to stay in shape while sampling Italy’s incredible cuisine.
