Five Star Alliance Client Reviews - Hotel Lungarno
Edna G., San Juan, PR. January, 2007
"Our stay at Hotel Lungarno was one of a kind. The employees were courteous, the room was decorated elegantly, the food at the restaurant was delicious. The lobby, facing the Arno River, a great place to enjoy the view, as well as to discuss the florentine culture. The location was excellent, a short walk from the important sites. Definitely, a hotel to return to on my next trip to Florence."
Irma D., Westchester, NY. January, 2007
"The Hotel Lungarno is everything a stylish luxury hotel should be - from attention to the smallest details to the ideal location directly on the River Arno, just steps from the Ponte Vecchio. Their expert and professional front desk staff is to be commended - nothing was too difficult for them. Ask for a river view room - not to be missed!"
Ann S., Valparaiso, IN. January, 2007
"The hotel was in a beautiful location, overlooking the river and our balcony view was spectacular. We loved the original art work on the walls and the attention to detail in the room and in our bath. The lobby provided a wonderful cocktail hour with snacks, which helped tide us over for the late dinners we had in Italy. In addition, the concierge gave us the best recommendations of anyone for restaurants and shopping! All in all, a great experience. "
Wayne, New Hampshire. March, 2006
"The Hotel Lungarno staff was very helpful and spoke sufficient English (much better than our faulty Italian), allowing us to communicate effectively. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was superb and just slightly higher than other local dining establishments but offers a more elaborate menu with a wider range of choices. Hotel Lugarno is located within easy walking distance to ALL major sites in Florence. It is just steps from the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Museum. The rate was competitive with other fine hotels we stayed in in Milan and Rome."
Nancy, Atlanta, GA. February, 2006
"Great location!!!! Helpful desk. Beautiful rooms. We had two rooms, adjacent to each other. They were lovely and the bathrooms were great. The view looked onto the street (as opposed to the Arno) but we were not in the room enough that it made any difference. The location could not have been better-the Ponte Vecchio was at the end of the block. We walked everywhere, to museums, meals, markets. The lobby was a great place for cocktails in the evening. Since our rooms did not include breakfast, we did not utilize the restaurant. We would definitely go back."

Recommended Rooms
Lugarno is well placed in an area of Florence where the river touches the building directly rather than a having a road in between the river and the building. Rooms overlooking the river are especially nice.
