The Helvetia & Bristol Hotel has existed since the late 19th century in the very same building in which it resides today. The entrance can be found in Via dei Pescioni, however the main facade overlooks Piazza Strozzi. The Hotel is situated in the very heart of Florence's historical center, between Piazza della Repubblica and Via Tornabuoni, Florence's most exclusive shopping street. The Ponte Vecchio, Il Duomo and Piazza della Signoria are only a few minutes walk away.
Directions to Hotel
From the A1 motorway exit at Firenze Certosa and follow directions for Florence Centre (approx 7 km). When you reach Piazzale di Porta Romana, go under the arch and travel along Via Romana and Via Maggio. Cross the River Arno by the Santa Trinita Bridge and continue along Via Tornabuoni to Piazzetta Antinori (newsagent on the left). At Piazzetta Antinori turn right, then right again in Via Vecchietti, then right again in Via Strozzi. The first road on the right is Via dei Pescioni, where you will find the Hotel Helvetia & Bristol.
