At the property’s heart stands a twelfth-century Castello featuring 50 rooms and suites with interiors by Milanese designer, Paola Navone. The Michelin-starred La Torre restaurant showcases gourmet Italian cuisine, using the finest Tuscan produce, much of it from our estate kitchen-garden, vineyard, beehives and olive groves.

Location Summary
COMO Castello del Nero is located in the heart of the Chianti district in the Florence province in Tuscany-Italy set amidst the typical tuscan hills towering it's own valley and estate of 400 hectars, vine yards, olive groves and 2 small lakes. 20 minutes to the centre of Florence, 40 minutes to Siena, 20 minutes to San Gimignano and 1 hour to Pisa.
Directions to Hotel
From Florence airport take the A1 highway in direction Rome. Exit at Firenze Certosa and take the 4 corsie towards Siena. 3rd exit is Tavarnelle, follow the signs for 2 kilometres and you have arrived in a total time of about 25 minutes.
Banquets & Meetings
Possibility of maximum capacity indoors up to 120 people, parties can also be held on the Terrace for up to 200 people. A cellar for wine tastings and theme dinners is also available.
Fine Dining On Site
There are three dining venues at COMO Castello Del Nero, ranging from the Michelin-starred La Torre, to the casually informal La Taverna. Each dining venue uses carefully sourced produce from around the Tuscan region to produce nourishing and flavoursome cuisine.

Spa Facility
COMO Shambhala Retreat is an elegant sanctuary for therapeutic treatments including massage, yoga and Guinot facials. Thermal suites offer a revitalising experience, with an invigorating ice fountain, gentle sauna, aromatic steam room and heated vitality pool. A 25-metre heated outdoor pool (open only during summer) is ideal for gentle exercise, while the gym provides a space for targeted workouts.
Ecological Tourism
400 hectares of private game reserve which is a no hunting repopulation area and 100 hectares of private woods, ideal for bird watching and hiking.

The prestigious Ugolino Golf Club, established in 1889, is the oldest in Tuscany and located south-east of Florence.
