Room One, the Master Bedroom, was originally designed by Thomas Hardy himself and offers a magnificent
open fireplace and four poster bed which overlooks the perfectly manicured English country gardens that

Banquets & Meetings
Make business a pleasure in the fully equipped Dorchester Suite located in the Courtyard House of
the property. Suitable for private meetings, receptions, lunches and dinners, it can seat 16 people in a
boardroom style as well as 26 theatre style providing an intimate environment in which to focus your
attention. Opulently furnished with hand-carved wood-panelled walls and antique furniture, it proves to be
an inspiring venue and also comes complete with audio visual equipment, internet access, business services
and any other requirements you may have. The Dorchester Suite is ideal for private dining where
attentive personal service combined with exquisite menus and fine wines make for a memorable occasion.

Summer Lodge received two great nominations in the prestigious Tatler 2005 Restaurant Awards-
nominated in two categories; Best Sommelier (Eric Zwiebel) and Best Out of Town Restaurant. Overlooking
beautifully manicured lawns and pergola, the stunning award winning restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy
breakfast, lunch and dinner. If the weather is fine, tables are available on the terrace. Steven Titman, the
Executive Chef, and his team have devised menus that offer a seasonal selection of international dishes
and local specialities. The cellar is stocked with a superb choice of fine wines and Eric Zwiebel,
Champagne Ruinart UK Sommelier of the Year 2004, and his team are on hand to provide recommendations
and suggestions. A traditional Dorset afternoon tea is served every afternoon in the Drawing Room and
lighter meals can be enjoyed in the cozy bar.
Fitness Center
If you enjoy fitness then you may want to make use of our air-conditioned
gym equipped with features such as treadmill, exercise bikes, stepping machine, water rower, cross-trainer
and a variety of fixed and loose weights. A personal trainer can be arranged for you with prior notice.
After your workout, relax in the pool and Jacuzzi or maybe take a sauna during your stay.
High Speed Internet
Every room is equipped with two analogue telephone lines. This enables you to use the primary number as your direct telephone line and the second line for a fax machine or laptop computer.
