The Ashton Hotel was a historical redevelopment project in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. During an extensive five year process, the exteriors of the 1915 Fort Worth Club Building and the 1890 Winfree Building were rehabilitated to the original architecture styles, while the interiors were transformed into an elegant setting for a hotel of the new millennium. The Fort Worth Club was dedicated to improving and expanding Fort Worth from a small town into a major city. The Club outgrew its building, so the members demolished their original home at 6th and Main Streets to erect the 1915 six-story building that now houses The Ashton. The Winfree Building was built in 1890 to house a law firm. The building was connected to the neighboring Fort Worth Club Building in a 1937 remodel.
The owners' vision to utilize the buildings as a hotel stemmed from the days when The Fort Worth Club occupied the building. The fourth floor of the Club had sleeping rooms that could be used by Club members or their guests. The buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
All guestrooms are non-smoking and feature a Signature Ashton King-size bed dressed with down pillows, comforters, and Frette Italian linens, each surrounded by custom-designed furniture and draperies. Amenities include - Minibars, In-Room Safes, Two-Line Speaker Phones, Molten Brown Amenities, CD Players, DSL Access, Hairdryers and Custom Robes.
Cafe Ashton features our Chef's creative and worldly spin on American Bistrocuisine. The restaurant is on the first floor of The Ashton, in a warm intimate setting including a fireplace, piano and bar. Since opening, Cafe Ashton has set a new standard in Fort Worth dining and has received rave reviews by local food critics.
Afternoon Tea - Experience afternoon tea amidst the charm and elegance of The Ashton Hotel. Sip fine teas while sampling savories and sweets in Cafe Ashton. It's the perfect place for a social gatherings. Whether it's with a large group for a bridal or baby shower, a birthday celebration, or perhaps just tea for two.

The nationally ranked Fort Worth Zoo is about 10 minutes driving from The Ashton Hotel. The Zoo is full of interesting species and exhibits including Siberian Tigers, Koala Bears, a primate exhibit designed by Dr. Jane Goodall, and the Texas Wild exhibit.

Golfing
Tee-off for Colonial Golf Tournament is in May and attracts winners from the U.S. P.G.A., U.S. Open, British Open, and the Masters tournaments. The golf course is a short driving distance from the hotel.
Theatre & Museums
Nearby are the Museum District, Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall, and Stockyards National Historic District. The Ashton Art Collection of The Fort Worth Circle has been enhanced from the original collection with additional pieces from Fort Worth Circle artists Veronica Helfenstellar, Blanche McVeigh, Emily Guthrie Smith, and Olive Pemberton.
