"The Peninsula Hotel has been rated one of the top hotels in the world. Our experience at the Chicago location was fabulous. Everyone was so attentive and friendly. We enjoyed everything about the hotel and it's wonderful employees. The rooms (especially the bathroom) are exceptional. We would recommend this hotel to anyone desiring luxury and outstanding service. "
Shelley G. St.Louis, MO. September, 2006
"Just gorgeous!! Would stay again. Lovely rooms, very clean, exceptional."
Amy W., Huntleigh, MO. September, 2006
"Our room was attractive and extremely clean, but ridiculously small for the price. The location was ideal - as we expected - and the view was good, though compromised by construction off Michigan Avenue. Service was professional, courteous and competent, but many of our servers lacked charm, which we do consider to be typically a part of the 'luxury hotel' experience. The Lobby Lounge served good food at very high prices; we debated whether our experience equaled the cost. The Avenue Restaurant was not a comfortable dining experience because segments of the menu were too creative to be enjoyed - for example, our Kobe beef was ruined by the bizzare presence of 'eculpytus foam.' The manager of the Restaurant, however, was the most charming and personable member of the staff we encountered. The Shanghai Terrace was the unexpected jewel in the hotel's culinary crown - both the food and service was absolutely fabulous. The Spa was beautifully appointed and managed with great care - we thoroughly enjoyed our trip"
