Five Star Alliance Client Reviews - Charleston Place
Annie H., Beaufort, SC. January, 2007
"The experience was wonderful. The atmosphere, decoration and environment are excellent. Our room was cozy and roomy. I love the bathroom. My daughter especially loved the swimming in the indoor pool during the winter!! She also loves room service. Their presentation was excellent."
Danielle M.. December, 2006
"Very nice hotel - only complaint was unable to book king size bed instead of 2 doubles which they had tried to provide."
Beverley P, Worcestershire, United Kingdom. September, 2006
"The Charleston Place is a great hotel in a fabulously convenient location. The service, atmosphere and surroundings were all excellent and our room was of the highest quality. We were particularly impressed with the bed linen, the silence and effectiveness of the air conditioning unit, and the cleanliness of the bathroom, which also provided high quality soaps, shampoos, etc. We ate in the Charleston Grill, the Palmetto Cafe and the Thoroughbred Bar - enjoyed the food in all three. Would definitely stay here again."
Alexis, Gainesville, FL. August, 2006
"Our stay (and participation in the Spoleto Festival) was absolutely delightful. My 16 year old daughter is still raving about the Charleston Grill. She repeatedly states that she wants to go back, NOW. We were fortunate to luck into a room with a balcony which really helps you appreciate the charm of the city. Everything I saw was elegant and beautiful and comfortable. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi was a source of great recuperation in that hot but lovely city. Great aesthetics. The service hit just the right note - pleasant and relaxed. There was none of the simpering artificiality (or annoying hauteur) that you often can find in luxury hotels. It was worth every cent and felt like a true bargain for the pleasure received."
Alan K., Washington, DC. August, 2006
"Charleston Place is in the best possible location to visit the delightful colonial city of Charleston, South Carolina. Everything is accessible on foot - the harbor, the market, the galleries , the antique shops and a range of fine restaurants. The Charleston Grill restaurant , inside the hotel is certainly one of the finest restaurants we have visited anywhere. The hotel itself is very comfortable and the staff service quite superb. The location of the Charleston Place Hotel is what sets it apart. For a city hotel, it does not get much better. An ideal starting point for walking tours of the city, or for accessing the South Carolina coast and countryside. "
