The Only Tudor Castle In England Operating As A Hotel, The Thornbury Castle Is Not A Hotel In The Ordinary Sense. The Castle is More An Experience Of Luxury Amidst Medieval Bedchambers, Massive Four Poster Beds And A Highly Acclaimed Restaurant. Everything About The Hotel Is Grand, With Its Towers, Battlements, Vineyard And Tudor Garden, The Oldest In England. Stay In The Bed Chamber Where King Henry VIII- Who Owned The Castle- Met Anne Boleyn. Mary Tudor Also Lived Here When She Became Queen. The Hotel Is Owned By The Baron Of Portlethen.

Five Star Alliance Client Reviews - Thornbury Castle
Paul, Grantham, UK. March, 2006
"Good setting although service somewhat formal. For a more relaxing weekend I would strongly recommend Swinton Park in Yorkshire. Room reasonable although for the price I would have expected a TV/DVD and CD player."
