Bitter End Yacht Club — North Sound, Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
Bitter End Yacht Club
North Sound, Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
Bitter End Yacht Club is the Caribbean's premiere luxury water sports resort, hosting family fun vacations, romantic getaways, and idyllic escapes for all. Located on the island of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, Bitter End is uniquely situated along a mile of shorefront on the protected waters of the North Sound. The barefoot elegance that characterizes this island outpost is why Bitter End is regularly hailed as one of the top full service resorts in the world. Bitter End is a "rollicking nautical village" with 85 shoreside accommodations, three restaurants and an awesome array of activities. Reachable only by sea, the resort stretches along a mile of beach and waterfront on the North Sound -- the most protected and secluded deep water harbor in the Caribbean. In addition to all the amenities and activities of a full service resort, including a world-renown watersports center and sailing school, Bitter End is also home to a full service marina, with dockage, over 70 moorings, where repairs, provisions and supplies are readily and easily available. Bitter End's colorful atmosphere and casual, friendly ambiance is more like that of a traditional Caribbean village, and the staff complements the resort's character with their cheerful affability and concern for each visitor's experience. The entire resort is intended to be organic, comfortable and beautiful. Bitter End still generates its own electricity, collects and distills its own water, utilizes solar power and uses treated grey waste shower water to irrigate the hillside gardens. Today Bitter End has grown into the world's finest watersports resort. Top of the line sailboats, skiffs, windsurfers and other equipment, along with roomy excursion boats and exciting day trips have been added over the years. Word of mouth has given the resort a worldwide reputation and a loyal guest base of families, friends and couples who enjoy the watersports and relaxation that are a way of life at Bitter End.
