In the evening, guests gather for cocktails and canapes in the library and on the garden terraces overlooking the sea. They might enjoy one of many single malt Scotch liquors or a favorite drink. This gracious country house of impressive proportions has welcomed international guests since 1897. The legendary houseparties of the first owners brought artists, poets, writers, and statesmen to this crossroads. Today the inn invites guests to open their hearts to the feelings of personal service and attention- a welcome experience in the modern world. These moments may occur with a thoughtful gift, an unexpected champagne toast, preparation of a personal favorite dish, a friendly conversation, or a touching farewell. This is a private home where names are known, and needs are looked after in the most attentive way. Through the years, honeymooners have returned to celebrate anniversaries. Travelers who have roamed the world return to familiar surroundings. Our goal is to make every new face stepping through the front door of Kingsbrae Arms a new friend.

Fine Dining On Site
The kitchen at Kingsbrae Arms presents a wide variety of specials for the table featuring the abundant bounty from land and sea, near and far. The chef, Marc Latulippe, presides over every detail of their preparation and presentation. Many of these items reveal the flavors of the sea: Bay of Fundy salmon, lobster, and shrimp, Digby scallops, Prince Edward Island oysters and mussels, and Cobscook Bay rock crab. Savory meats and game dishes punctuate our table including bison, elk, caribou, red deer, and wild boar, pheasant, partridge, duck and quail. French imported as well as local artisanal cheeses such as the sheep milk Le Sieur de Duplessis from New Brunswick are all part of the mix. And then there is the abundance of seasonal fruits and vegetables. Local signature ingredients include maple syrup, cranberries, strawberries, raspberries, and wild blueberries from nearby fields as well as homegrown herbs.
