Le Guanahani Hotel

Le Guanahani is located on the northeast side of Saint Barthelemy, also known as St. Barth. Christopher Columbus named the island in tribute to his brother, Bartholomeo, during his second landing in November 1493. Today, the just over eight-square-mile island is home to almost 10,000 people. Le Guanahani is nestled between Marigot Bay and Grand Cul-de-Sac, only two miles from Gustaf III Airport.
Directions to Hotel
The main way to travel to St. Barth from the United States and Europe is by a connecting flight through nearby St. Maarten via Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM). The 12-minute connecting flight arrives into St. Barth’s Gustave III Airport (SBH), which is located a short 10-minute drive away from the hotel. The nearest international airports are on the neighboring islands of St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, and Antigua, which offer connecting flights with regional carriers to St. Barth such as Winair, St. Barth Commuter, and Tradewind Aviation. There are also several ferry services operating between St. Barth and St. Maarten. The St. Barth airport is Gustav Airport.

Located near the beach, with a view of the sea, the sun-lit Fitness Center is air-conditioned and equipped with TVs, a hi-fi system, showers, and fresh water. A fitness coach is available.

The hotel's onsite Nature Preserve reveals the environmental consciousness of Le Guanahani. Situated between two protected bay sides, the hotel lends itself to an abundance of wildlife. Guided tours and self-guided nature trails bring the island alive for guests, who can enjoy the beauty of sea turtles and native sea grasses in their natural habitats. The hotel can also arrange tours of other nature preserves located around the island.
Guided hiking excursions provide access to exceptional sites on the island. There are 15 paths, of varying length and difficulty, through gorgeous natural environments complete with rare plants and wildlife, some of which are available only with a guide.
Single- and double-tank diving excursions depart from the hotel’s beach or from the harbor in Gustavia. Within sites in the Caribbean or Atlantic waters off St. Barth, dive options include reef diving, deep diving, night diving, wreck diving and customized diving. The diving school is certified PADI, CMAS and FFESSM, and beginner lessons are administered in a swimming pool and/or in the lagoon.
Located near the main pool, the hotel’s boutique offers a curated selection of swimwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and children as well as a variety of beach vacation necessities and toiletries.
Ocean Cove Room Located near Grand Culde- Sac, this room offers ocean views and is decorated in the graceful Explorer style. It features a king-size bed, wood or tile floors, bathroom with shower and terrace with sundeck. 396 sf + 239 sf outdoors.
