"Our room was perfect and spacious - two queen beds. I loved the walk in closet and the robes. The location is perfect with great views, just perfect. Service was snappy! Everyone was wonderful from our room maid to all the service people and housekeeping, We celebrated by mother's 80th birthday and she said, 'I was treated like a queen!' The Laurel Restaurant (?) was marvelous! I was somewhat disappointed with the Tonga Lounge but that could be my own taste. We definitely will return again and recommend our friends."

"The Fairmont Hotel certainly is a grand old dame of San Francisco. We chose a room in the original portion rather than the tower, because of the historical significance. The room was well appointed, spacious and pleasant. Though it could of used a round table and two chairs to enjoy our 'breakfast in room experience'. Our view was unusual since it was interior and we looked atop the three domes of the Laurel Court. Other than our check-in experience, all other aspects of the service were excellent. Our waiter in the Laurel Court restaurant for dinner was exceptional while the food was good, but not outstanding. We would recommend the hotel."

"The City of San Francisco offers a wide variety of accommodation all of which are distinct in their own way. But for me, only the Fairmont will do. This was my second visit to this beautiful, beautiful establishment. The Fairmont not only exceeds any five star rating available, it surpasses any thought or idea one may have in ones head about what a stay in a luxury hotel should be like. In addition, my father was the carpenter that rebuilt the bar in the lobby. He's gone now... So for me, walking through the lobby, sitting at that bar, running my hand on the wood bring my dad real close to me."
