Excellent

Excellent wellness hotel. Awesome rooms and service in a great location.

Twin Farms is an intimate, all-inclusive country hideaway set amidst 300 acres of meadows and woodlands in an unspoiled valley, 15 minutes north of Woodstock. Hand painted murals, rich maple and pine woodwork, American folk art and museum-quality contemporary oils adorn the rustically elegant accommodations and lounges. Public areas include the Dining Room, Barn Room, Pub, Cabana and Fitness Center. Twenty distinctive lodgings (including a self-contained four-suite Farmhouse at Copper Hill overlooking a pond) feature king-size feather beds and sitting areas with wood-burning fireplaces that open onto screened porches. Whimsical cottages are tucked away in the property's secluded woodlands.

The exceptional cuisine is backed by a 15,000-bottle wine cellar. On-site activities include hiking, biking, tennis, pond swimming, fly fishing, and canoeing during the warmer months. Golf is available nearby. In winter, guests enjoy private downhill ski slopes, trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, as well as ice skating and sledding with all equipment provided. The property also offers a fitness center, Japanese-style soaking tub (Furo), and the The Bridge House spa.

Please Note: This hotel property may offer both all-inclusive and room-only rates and welcomes adults only. Please read the rate description information carefully and contact us if you have any questions about what’s included in the room rate.

Location Summary
Located about three hours from Boston, five hours from New York City, and one-and-a-half hours from the nearest commercial airport in Burlington, the journey into the bucolic landscape surrounding Barnard, Vermont begins the Twin Farms experience. Allow time to dine on lunch and peruse antique shops, visit the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park and tour a working farm, or watch artists shape fine glassware at the Simon Pearce factory in Quechee. Let the odyssey help you escape and reconnect. Once on the property’s vast 300 acres, seclusion and privacy come first. But some of the shared facilities provide social opportunities as subtle or invigorating as you wish.

Directions to Hotel
Driving directions from Boston and/or Logan Airport to Twin Farms: Approximately 3 hours. When leaving Logan Airport, watch for signs to the Sumner Tunnel. Once in the Sumner Tunnel, watch for signs for I-93 North. Take I-93 North through Massachusetts to New Hampshire. Take I-89 North through New Hampshire to Vermont. In Vermont, take Exit 1 (Woodstock/Rutland). At the bottom of the exit ramp, take a left onto Route 4. You will be heading toward Woodstock, first passing through Quechee and Taftsville. Once you get to Woodstock, take Route 12 to Barnard. At the Barnard General Store take a right (keeping Silver Lake on your left). Follow this road for approximately 1.5 miles. Where the roads forks, stay to your left on Royalton Turnpike. Just past the point where the road changes from black top to dirt, you will see two stone pillars and a wrought iron gate on the right, marking the entrance to our driveway. (If you hit blacktop again you have gone too far.) After passing through the gate, the driveway curves past The Pub and into the Courtyard.
