Surrounded by a pinewood of about seven hectares in one of the most beautiful and intact parts of the island covered with the typical Mediterranean vegetation, the MEZZATORRE RESORT & SPA is located in Forio d'Ischia, not far from the wonderful villa where the famous Italian movie director Luchino Visconti once lived. The hotel is perched on a bluff above the sea and has a special and strategic position offering guests tranquillity and a magic atmosphere. The Mezzatorre Resort & Spa facility has 51 double rooms, 1 Junior Suite, 3 Deluxe Suites housed in the main tower, 3 Open Plan Suites with a private Jacuzzi pool, and then the brand new Grand Suite and Bungalow suite located respectively in the Tower and in a detached cottage (chalet) in the park. As regards gastronomy, Mezzatorre Resort & Spa offers two restaurants, one being adjacent to the Tower while the other overlooking the sea with a typical palm-leaf roof. A select choice of Mediterranean dishes is available, prepared with the very best ingredients, and, upon request, a special diet menu is available which offers elaborate dishes created under the guidance of a nutritionist. Water and mud greatly contribute to one's beauty. Thermal swimming-pools and special treatments provide guests with the great benefits of water resulting from the long path followed by water in the deepest bowels of the earth.
