A tiny dot of an island in the midst of the South Pacific, Wakaya lies in the heart of Fiji, a nation made up of 333 islands located 1,500 miles from the coast of Australia. Approximately five miles by one and a half miles (2,200 acres) in size, it is part of the Lomaiviti Group situated in the Koro Sea due east of Viti Levu (the main island of Fiji). So far from the commercial and industrial centers of the world, Wakaya boasts one of the purest ecosystems in the world.
Directions to Hotel
Air Pacific, Fiji’s international carrier, offers the greatest number of direct flights to Nadi direct from Los Angeles, Honolulu, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Auckland, Christchurch and Hong Kong. Air New Zealand provides direct service into Nadi from Auckland. As soon as you land at Nadi International Airport and clear Customs and Immigration, a Wakaya Club & Spa representative will be there to greet you and escort you to Air Wakaya, our own Grand Cessna Caravan aircraft. From Nadi, it is a 40-minute flight to the island on our 2005 Cessna Grand Caravan plane. Air Wakaya transfer service is also available from Nausori Airport, a 12-minute flight.

The kitchen specializes in Pacific Rim fare, inspired by the Island’s plentiful resources, including locally raised venison, pork, lamb, chickens and their freshly laid eggs, Muscovy ducks and their eggs. Seafood is drawn from the Koro Sea. Pacific green lobster, shrimp, mangrove crab, tuna, wahoo, walu and mahimahi feature on the daily changing menus.
