The Bayerischer Hof was opened in 1841 - on the wishes of King Ludwig I, who wanted a comfortable place for his guests to stay. The Bayerischer Hof has been owned by the Volkhardt family for over a hundred years. Situated within the city centre of Munich, the hotel offers attractions and many museums nearby, like the Frauenkirche, the Viktualien market, the Opera, the Residenz and the Hofgarten.
