For the past 100 years or more, the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni has been one of the most well-known and prestigious hotels in the world. Set in the splendid surroundings of Lake Como, where the blue waters meet the green mountains which soar above the lake, the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni enjoys a breathtaking position on the promontory which juts halfway out into the lake, separating the two branches. "great room with one of the world's best views. hotel itself is wonderfully idiosyncratic and old-fashioned and thus almost unique in these days of brand standardization. excellent and copious breakfast but the Michelin one star restaurant was just a tiny bit disappointing although still worth a visit. only complaint was the shower (much too small and variable water temperature). will definitely re-visit and for a longer stay."
