Location Summary
Hotel de la Paix Geneva is located on the prestigious Quai du Mont Blanc overlooking Lake Geneva. It is in the heart of the business district and only a short distance away from all of Geneva's downtown attractions including the Grand Rue, St-Peter's Cathedral and the Old Town. Close to the hotel is Pont du Mont Blanc, the bridge that crosses the Rhone and links the two sides of the city, the Rive Gauche and Rive Droite. The hotel is on the same side as Geneva International Airport and Gare de Cornavin, the main train station, making access extremely convenient.
Directions to Hotel
From the Airport - Geneva International Airport is approximately five kilometres or three miles from Hotel de la Paix. An average taxi ride in moderate traffic takes 20 minutes with a typical fare of 40 CHF. Alternatively, CFF trains leave every 10 minutes from Geneva International Airport and take only six minutes to reach Gare du Cornavin (fare of 2.20 CHF), which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Transports Publics Genevois (TPG) operates a frequent bus route (bus 10) to the city centre from the airport with a journey time of 35 minutes. By Train - Geneva's Gare de Cornavin is well connected with high-speed trains to Paris (SNCF's TGV), as well as services to Milan, Venice and most major destinations in Switzerland. The station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel or short taxi ride. By Bus - The bus network is extremely efficient throughout Switzerland and Geneva is no exception. The Gare Routiere (central bus station) is a short walk from the hotel.
