Castello del Nero is a 12th century castle, restructured and opened as a 5 star deluxe hotel in June 2006. The property comprises an estate of 400 hectares of private game reserve with various kilometres of internal roads and trails ideal for horse riding, biking and trekking. A shuttle bus complimentary to hotel guests leaves at scheduled hours and drops the guests off in piazza della repubblica. The hotel boasts the first signature ESPA on property with 10 treatment rooms, heat experience and vitality pool. Other services include two tennis courts, an outdoor pool and a gym with state of the art equipment. A typical Tuscan restaurant - La Torre - offers signature dishes and the possibility of cooking classes where Guests venture with the Chef into our orchards to select organically grown vegetables which will be later elaborated in the kitchen. On property we also offer wine tastings, hot air balloon rides and guided tours of the Tuscan region.

Castello del Nero is located in the heart of the Chianti district in the Florence province in Tuscany-Italy set amidst the typical tuscan hills towering it's own valley and estate of 400 hectars, vine yards, olive groves and 2 small lakes. 20 minutes to the centre of Florence, 40 minutes to Siena, 20 minutes to San Gimignano and 1 hour to Pisa.

From Florence airport take the A1 highway in direction Rome. Exit at Firenze Certosa and take the 4 corsie towards Siena. 3rd exit is Tavarnelle, follow the signs for 2 kilometres and you have arrived in a total time of about 25 minutes.
