The company purchased The Blamoral, the first of its hotels in 1997. The 188-bedroom hotel with its majestic clock tower is located at 1 Princes Street in the center of Edinburgh, close to the city's many diverse attractions. The Balmoral boasts Scotland's only Bollinger Bar; Michelin starred "number one" restaurant, presided over by Executive Chef, Jeff Bland; a luxurious spa and ten function rooms accommodating up to 450 people, nearly all of which enjoy fantastic views of Edinburgh Castle. Young guests are given a warm welcome with the hotel's Five-Star Kids Program.



Recommended Rooms
Superior and Deluxe rooms can be booked with a guaranteed view of Edinburgh's Castle for a fee of £50 per day. But don't worry, all of the Suites offer magnificent views.

In February 2005 the Balmoral Spa was voted "Best UK Urban Day Spa" in the Conda Nast Traveler 2005 Readers' Spa Pick. In January 2005 the hotel received a place on Conda Nast Traveler's Gold List within "The Best Hotels in the World for Rooms." The hotel received a "Customer Care - Hotel of the Year Award" at the 2004 Scottish Thistle Awards. The Restaurant Number One has earned a Michelin star.
