The Joule Hotel is a revitalized 1920s neo-Gothic landmark building set in the heart of Dallas’ central business district. With dramatic art installations, unique retail boutiques, a world-class spa, clever design, award-winning food and drinks and some of the best service in town, The Joule Hotel is seen as the cultural epicenter of downtown. The Joule completed an expansion and transformation that seamlessly connected multiple historic buildings, the existing hotel and new structures to encompass nearly an entire city block. The project added new suites and multi-story penthouses, a rooftop terrace with climate-controlled glass pavilion, subterranean spa by ESPA, VITAL Fitness Studio, retail by TRAFFIC Los Angeles and TENOVERSIX, CBD Provisions, a modern Texas brasserie and Midnight Rambler, a craft cocktail lounge. The property also hosts a cantilevered glass-fronted rooftop pool and expanded bespoke lobby experience with lobby bar, TASCHEN Library and Weekend, a craft coffee shop. Adam D. Tihany’s vision for the 32 additional guestrooms in a second tower follows his original hotel inspiration — Jules Verne’s Journey to the Center of the Earth — and retains the luxurious and modern feel of the 129 rooms in the first tower, bringing the total to 161 guestrooms. In addition to the new 21 premier guestrooms and eight deluxe suites, three ultra-luxe penthouse units have been created. Two penthouses are multi-level each with a private terrace, and the third occupies an entire top floor, offering striking panoramic views of the city. All of the rooms, suites, and penthouses feature pieces from artist Bram Tihany. Specifically commissioned for The Joule and emblematic of the hotel’s evolution as a creative epicenter, the collection narrates a journey into the planet where the expedition’s meaning is in itself the destination.
