The James features 7,000 square feet of special event space that can host events ranging from 10 to 300 guests. All event space is conveniently located on the same floor, affording meeting attendees an added level of privacy and security, while those planning a special occasion will have room to spread out, if so desired. All the event and meeting space at The James benefit from the same modern, comfortable furnishings and décor that can be found throughout the hotel, as well as natural light, and state-of-the-art audio visual equipment.

Conveniently connected to the main lobby, The James' business/networking lounge provides complimentary internet and printing services to all guests. With the traveling parent in mind, all computers are equipped with webcams so guests can communicate with their family at home and even virtually "tuck" in their kids with a bedtime story.
Fine Dining on Site
David Burke's Primehouse is located at The James Chicago. In his interpretation of the classic American steakhouse, esteemed chef and renowned innovator David Burke continues to redefine modern American cuisine and push the envelope of culinary creativity. The restaurant features hand-selected meats that are dry-aged on the premises in a Himalayan salt-tiled aging room.
Fitness Center
Work out in the 2,000 square foot fitness center, The Gym, with state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment, advanced weight systems and facilities where seasoned personal trainers are available for questions. Training sessions are offered by appointment.

Recommended Rooms
The hotel provides rollaway beds. For families, 2 rooms are recommended. "Double guest rooms" allow max occupancy of 4 using existing bedding, for additional fees. Studios and Loft Suites offer all the guest-centric features of the Guest Rooms plus a spacious living area, a full bottle wet bar and, in the Lofts, a private media room.
