The Opposite House is an intriguing urban hotel designed by renowned
Japanese architect Kengo Kuma nestled in the heart of the city in The
Village at Sanlitun-a vibrant new open-plan shopping, dining and
entertainment destination developed by Swire Properties.
With a name derived from a translation of a Chinese word, which
historically described the building located opposite the main house in a
courtyard where esteemed guests would stay, the property thrives in the vibrant district of diversity and opposites - old and new; east and
west; bohemian and chic.
Punk is a chic late night bar and mini club housed in the basement is
where luxury goes underground. Featuring tracks from the latest fidget house beats to Baltimore club tunes. Here, the best local talent from Beijing and Shanghai share the decks with international DJs from New York to Tokyo.
