Lake Titicaca is more than a lake; it is culture, nature and a key component of the Andes. In addition to its historic and spiritual significance, this area is also revered for its natural and pure beauty. The landscape is diverse and rich; from Titilaka's shoreline, you can see terraced farmlands that run right up to the base of the surrounding snow-capped mountain chains as well as the islands of Titicaca. The most well known islands on the lake are the floating Islands of Uros, a group of 42 man-made islands made of reeds.
