Grand Hotel Cocumella
The actual Hotel was built in the 16th century as a Jesuit Monastery, in
the middle of a centuries old park. It has been a hotel since 1822. This
oasis of tranquility has been the destination for such distinguished
travellers as Goethe, Anderson, Freud, the Duke of Wellington and many
more.
The Grand Hotel Cocumella enjoys a superb and peaceful position on a
promontory in one of the most picturesque corners of the Sorrento
peninsula overlooking the Gulf of Naples on the Mediterranean coast. Its
tranquil setting is just a 15 minute- walk from Sorrento's busy main
square.
The hotel has been entirely renovated in order to offer guests all the
modern comforts of a 5 star Hotel within the 16th century architecture
and - ancient charm.
An enchanting atmosphere prevails in all areas of the hotel from the
beautiful park and terraces with breathtaking views to the
delightfully appointed public rooms and lounges housing antiques.
