Rocco Forte’s Augustine Wants You—Now.

Rocco Fortes Augustine Wants YouNow

Rocco Forte Collection's The Augustine doesn't open its doors until May, but those having trouble containing their excitement to stay at the Prague-monastery-turned-luxury hotel can now go ahead and reserve a room. The Augustine, Rocco's 12th hotel, is located in the Malá Strana district in Prague and is a complex of five buildings-- most notable is the St. Thomas Monastery, which dates back to the 13th century. Of course, Rocco's sister, Olga Polizzi, is steering the design of the hotel, so expect the property to reflect the prominence and beauty of the area. The hotel will boast 101 rooms, all of which offer stirring courtyard vistas and views of the monastery chapel or Prague Castle. Most impressive: The 1,615-square-foot Presidential Suite and the Tower Suite, which is located in the monastery's original tower. Whether or not monks will serve as butlers is still not yet known. A four-treatment-room spa, which includes a hammam, will be available for guests, while a 90-seat restaurant is the perfect spot for an elegant diner, particularly when, during warmer months, diners eat alfresco and enjoy looking down on the large courtyard. Looking forward, The Rocco Forte Collection is set to open four more properties by 2010 in addition to The Augustine. The Vendura Golf & Spa Resort, Sicily opens later this year.
