Excellent

Very good boutique hotel. Close to Knightsbridge. Good for sightseeing with access to public transportation.

The Gore comprises two nineteenth century mansions in a tree-lined avenue just a stones throw from Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Situated directly behind The Royal Albert Hall, it is only 10 minutes walk from Harrods and Knightsbridge and yet only 5 minutes from the West End and theatre district by either public transport or taxi.

It boasts two award winning restaurants and a popular bar open to non- residents as well. The Gore manages to maintain that knack of being first and foremost an hostelry with an atmosphere that remains both unpretentious and friendly, whilst fulfilling the expectations of an international hotel.

It offers the personal touch that comes from true dedicated owner- management. There are a wealth of fitness and health clubs nearby though the hotel has corporate membership with the Imperial College Health Club which is 5 minutes due East. There is a nominal entrance fee though this will vary depending on your chosen activity. These include sauna and steam rooms, whirlpool, stairmaster, life cycles, life row, treadmills, free weights, nautilus equipment, squash courts and swimming pool.
