Happy National Coffee Day! Specialty coffee sales are inceasing around the world at a rate of about 20% per year. In the U.S., the average person drinks 3.1 cups of coffee per day, yet the U.S. is not in the top 10 for coffee consuption in the world. Within the 2,045-square-foot venue, there is a separate living and sleeping area, as well as Hermès furnishings. There's also a kitchenette with a Nespresso machine and refrigerator, plus a personal library with an iMac setup and work station. Hotel Imperial has just unveiled the results of its year-long $14 Million Renovation, and the results are spectacular. Areas that have been renovated include OPUS Restaurant, the grand lobby, and Imperial Torte shop. The shop is, of course, the birthplace of the the legendary Imperial Torte in honour of his Imperial Highness, Emperor Franz Josef I. The recipe wasn't in need of updating, so guests can enjoy the classic confection of sliced almonds in six crispy layers filled with chocolate/coffee cream are encased in dark chocolate.
