Dining al Fresco (And Inside As Well): Victoria Falls Hotel

November 20, 2014| By:Five Star Alliance

Victoria Halls Hotel

Built in 1904, The Victoria Falls Hotel was the very first hotel to be built in Victoria Falls. The hotel overlooks the Victoria Falls Bridge and the gorges below. Situated in acres of private garden, the charm and tranquil atmosphere of the hotel has earned international acclaim. The elegant decor and the old world charm of this gracious hotel is reflected in the wide colonial verandahs and the Livingstone room with its superb cuisine.

A walk along the hotel's private pathway will bring guests out atop the gorge and provides a magnificent view of the bridge crossing into Zambia. From here one can watch in awe as bungi jumpers fall 111 metres down the world's longest natural bungi jump, towards the mighty Zambezi below.

Dining options include:

The Livingstone Room-Enjoy an elegant dining experience at The Victoria Falls Hotel. Guests can choose from a la carte menu and an extensive wine list. The dress code has been relaxed in line with the times. The dress code is smart but a jacket and tie is not longer obligatory.

The Jungle Junction-Situated close to the swimming pool with a clear view of the spray of the Falls, the Jungle Junction is a popular venue with groups, offering African fusion food with traditional African music.

Stanley's Terrace-A selection of light meals is served from the Stanley's Terrace at The Victoria Falls Hotel. An afternoon spent enjoying the renowned traditional High Tea overlooking the Victoria Falls bridge and spray of the Falls is a must for hotel guests.

In-room dining is also available.
