California State Capitol

The Renaissance Revival-style Capitol building has been renovated several times, but many historic rooms have been maintained for touring purposes. Formal and self-guided tours are available, which include views of the Senate and Assembly Chambers. California State Railroad Museum

One of Sacramento's top attractions is the world-class Railroad Museum. In this 3-story red brick and glass building, overlooking the Sacramento River, you'll discover 21 restored engine locomotives and numerous passenger and cargo cars. Golden State Museum

State Capitol Museum

While in Sacramento, visit the State Capitol on 10th, 12th, L and N streets, a Renaissance Revival style building originally constructed in 1861.
